Employment & Education Support for Inuit

The Employment and Education division of Tungasuvvingat Inuit provides a broad range of supports to help Inuit reach their education and employment goals. The Employment Centre is open Tuesday – Thursday from 10am – 4pm at 1071 Richmond Rd. Individual sponsorship is available for training opportunities. Job start supports helps individuals who are employed cover the cost of tools, personal protective equipment and licencing.

Training Opportunities

Throughout the year there are also specific training courses offered. 

iSisters is a program open to Inuit women to upgrade your technology and administrative skills.

The Construction & Landscaping program is a 2-week course covering all licencing that is required to work on any job site in Ontario.

The Warehouse Readiness Program is a 1-week course covering all the knowledge and practical use of a variety of forklifts utilized within a warehouse setting.

Standard First Aid and Drivers Training are also offered throughout the year.
