INUIT population - urban centres

The Candian Statistics census which was completed in 2006 determined that the Province of Ontario had one of the largest number of Inuit that are living outside of the Inuit land claim areas.

According to Statistics Canada in 2006- Inuit are in primarily in urban centres in the following provinces: Newfoundland/Labrador (2555) Ontario (2035), Alberta (1,610), British Columbia (795), NorthWest Territories (Urban areas) (1045), Quebec (Urban areas) (1385), Nova Scotia (325), Manitoba (565) Saskatchewan (215), New Brunswick (185), Yukon (255) and PEI (30)

In Canada, approximately 11,000 Inuit live outside of thier land claim settlement regions.
